Empowering Healthcare Innovation: A Glimpse into the Blueprint Project

As a passionate advocate for healthcare innovation, my journey led me to the heart of a transformative initiative – the HealthTech Hub of Africa (HTHA). Spearheaded by the Novartis Foundation and international partners, this movement is dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare innovation across the African continent.

At the forefront of HTHA’s mission is the groundbreaking “Blueprint to Fast-Track HealthTech Innovations in Public Health in Africa” project. This ambitious initiative seeks to validate, accelerate, and scale up local HealthTech innovations, addressing critical public health challenges in Africa’s diverse landscapes.

In my role as the CEO of Lifesten Health, a pioneering health tech company, I’ve been actively involved in reshaping the healthcare innovation landscape in Kigali, Rwanda. A significant milestone was achieved when Lifesten Health became the first AI-based company to navigate the rigorous approval process, emerging as fully sanctioned within Rwanda’s dynamic health tech ecosystem.

Our journey emphasizes the crucial role of stakeholders, innovative startups, and governments in fostering a conducive environment for health tech growth. Continuous engagement holds the key to streamlining processes, ensuring sustainable progress, and ultimately contributing to a unified health tech vision for Africa.

As the Blueprint Project unfolds, it stands as a beacon of hope, paving the way for collaborative efforts that promise to revolutionize healthcare across the continent. Together, we are not just innovating; we are building a healthier, more connected future for Africa.
