Dalai Lama Fellows: Pioneers of Compassionate Leadership in action

The Dalai Lama Fellows (DLF) program stands as a beacon of compassion in action, spearheaded by a group of remarkable young change-makers committed to reshaping leadership paradigms worldwide. Embracing a holistic approach that encompasses head, hands and heart through intellect, action, and compassion, the DLF program embodies the essence of transformative leadership. At its helm are Marty Krasney, affectionately known as “our fairy godfather,” and Anthony DeMauro, hailed as “the individual most likely to make us open our hearts.” While these two individuals play pivotal roles, the program’s success is also attributed to the collective efforts of a dedicated support network comprising numerous unsung heroes.

With over 250 changemakers spread across the globe, the DLF fellowship boasts a diverse cohort of individuals driving change in various fields. From education and conflict resolution to climate change and healthcare, these fellows represent a tapestry of compassion in action. During their time in Dharamsala, they were recognized for their outstanding contributions with paper plate awards, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact in their respective spheres.

Among the distinguished fellows are Addi, who works tirelessly in the field of education, while Serene extends her compassion to death row inmates. Vuyo focuses on leadership and training, Khang specializes in conflict resolution, and Ruchi merges education with architecture to create innovative solutions. Ngoshi works in the arts. Tim and Mansi are dedicated educators, while Britanie channels her efforts into rehabilitation and care. Maia is a passionate advocate for climate change action, and Ogweno leads impactful initiatives in healthcare. Additionally, Fash, Shaman, and Shrutika are instrumental in their respective fields of education and gender inclusivity.
