In a transformative move for cancer diagnosis and research, Ogweno Stephen, founder and CEO of Stowelink Foundation, participated in the prestigious AWACAN ED project summer school in South Africa. This groundbreaking initiative focuses on advancing cancer diagnostics and education across Africa, with a special emphasis on women’s cancers and colorectal cancer.

During the program, Ogweno engaged with leading researchers and explored cutting-edge methodologies for early cancer detection and treatment. These learnings align with Stowelink Foundation’s mission of promoting cancer literacy and improving access to preventive care for underserved African communities.

Stowelink, which is already a leader in raising awareness about non-communicable diseases (NCDs), will integrate these insights into ongoing projects. This includes empowering communities with accurate cancer prevention knowledge and advocating for policies to enhance healthcare delivery in Kenya and Africa.

Through this milestone, Ogweno aims to bring sustainable improvements to Africa’s healthcare system. As Stowelink continues its impactful work, stay tuned for innovative strategies to bridge the gap in cancer diagnostics and care.
