Lifesten Health and Ogweno Stephen Shine at the African Tech Startup Forum Seoul Experience

We are thrilled to announce that Lifesten Health, the health-tech startup co-founded by Ogweno Stephen, has been selected as one of the 20 finalists for the African Tech Startup Forum (ATSF) Cohort 1. This prestigious Market Access and Acceleration Program, funded by the Korea Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund through the African Development Bank (AfDB)’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab, offers unparalleled opportunities for African tech ventures to thrive on the global stage.

The African Tech Startup Forum is designed to prepare, train, expose, and connect tech ventures from Africa with global opportunities. By bringing together innovators from across the continent, ATSF creates a dynamic ecosystem where startups can flourish. This program uniquely combines virtual sessions with an in-person experience in South Korea, culminating in the chance to interact with the Korean startup ecosystem and showcase innovations at ComeUp Korea, one of Asia’s largest startup conferences.

Lifesten Health, under Ogweno Stephen’s leadership, stood out among startups from six African countries, securing its place as a finalist. This recognition highlights Lifesten Health’s groundbreaking work in transforming healthcare through digital health solutions and its commitment to tackling pressing health challenges, including the rise of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

During the Seoul experience, Ogweno Stephen and the Lifesten Health team engaged with global experts, investors, and innovators, exploring opportunities for collaboration and scaling their impact. The program provided a platform to learn from South Korea’s advanced tech ecosystem, known for its innovation in health and technology. Through workshops, networking, and the opportunity to pitch at the ComeUp Korea Exhibition Conference, Lifesten Health gained invaluable insights and exposure to international markets.
