Since 2018, I have set a tradition of defining each year with a single mantra—one phrase that encapsulates my focus, direction, and aspirations for the year ahead. This statement has served as both a guide and a motivation, helping me stay on track with my personal and professional goals.
Let’s take a look at the journey so far:
- 2018: This year we plan
- 2019: This year we focus
- 2020: This year we grow
- 2021: This year we breakthrough
- 2022: This year we prepare
- 2023: This year we elevate
- 2024: This year we grow
And now, for 2025, the mantra is clear:
THIS YEAR, WE TRANSITION
Why “Transition” in 2025?
For me, 2025 is the year of evolution—a year of closing major chapters, achieving long-term goals, and stepping boldly into new spaces. Over the past five years, I have been working towards significant milestones in health innovation, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and research, and this year marks the time to complete them and create space for fresh challenges and new opportunities.
This is not just a transition in career or business, but a holistic shift—in leadership, impact, and vision. It’s about moving into higher levels of influence, embracing new strategic roles, and preparing for a future that demands bigger, bolder, and more ambitious actions.

What to Expect in 2025?
You will witness a lot of growth, shifts, and transformations happening across my work in health, research, technology, and advocacy. Some of the key transitions include:
1. The Evolution of My Digital Presence
The first successful transition of the year is this very website—now rebranded with a fresh, modern, and strategic look. This redesign represents more than just aesthetics; it marks a transition in how I share knowledge, engage with my community, and showcase the impact of my work in health tech, NCDs, and leadership.
2. Scaling Lifesten Health to New Heights
As Co-Founder & CEO of Lifesten Health, I have been deeply involved in developing AI-powered health solutions to address non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Africa. In 2025, the goal is to scale this innovation further, introducing new features, expanding across regions, and integrating advanced personalized health AI assistants that empower individuals to take charge of their well-being.
3. Concluding Key Five-Year Goals
I have been working tirelessly on five-year-long personal and professional goals since 2020. In 2025, I am pushing to complete these milestones, ensuring that I step into 2026 with a blank slate, ready for the next era of innovation, leadership, and global impact.
4. Strengthening My Research & Advocacy Work
As a Director at the World Obesity Federation, a Global Advisory Committee Member at NCD Alliance, and an active contributor to WHO’s Guidelines Development Group for GLP-1, I will continue shaping global policies, driving critical health discussions, and amplifying the voices of people with lived experiences. However, 2025 marks a transition into even bigger roles, pushing for policy changes that integrate NCDs into Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and health tech solutions that redefine access to diagnostics and care.
5. Investing in Leadership & Mentorship
This year, I am doubling down on mentorship, ensuring that young entrepreneurs, health innovators, and future leaders have access to the tools, insights, and networks they need to succeed. Through Club 25, my mentorship initiative, and my entrepreneurial success courses, I will be guiding the next wave of changemakers who will shape the future of health and business in Africa and beyond.
