Ogweno Stephen’s NCD Advocacy Story Well Represented at Our Views, Our Voices Exhibition

The Our Views, Our Voices exhibition was a powerful tribute to the impact of lived experience leadership in NCDs advocacy. As part of the Community Zone at the 4th Global NCD Alliance Forum, this exhibition served as a platform to amplify the voices of people living with NCDs, showcasing their experiences, challenges, and calls to action for policy change.

Celebrating Lived Experience in NCDs Advocacy

The exhibition featured a dynamic mix of audio, written, and visual stories from NCD Diarists, alongside short films that documented real-life journeys of individuals affected by NCDs. It also provided interactive call-to-action spaces, ensuring that attendees could engage meaningfully with the narratives and insights shared.

A highlight of the exhibition was the launch of two new short films, further cementing the power of storytelling in driving awareness and action on NCDs.

Stowelink Foundation Making Waves Globally

We are proud to share that Stowelink Foundation was well represented at the exhibition, with both Ogweno Stephen and Oduor Kevin—who are recognized NCD Diarists—having their powerful stories showcased. Their inclusion in this global platform was a reassuring moment, affirming that the work Stowelink is doing in Kenya and beyond is making a real impact on NCDs advocacy at both local and international levels.

This recognition reflects the dedication of Stowelink Foundation to ensuring that youth voices, community-driven advocacy, and policy engagement remain central in the fight against NCDs in Kenya and across the world.

The Road Ahead: Strengthening the NCDs Movement

The Our Views, Our Voices exhibition reminded us that lived experience is a powerful tool for change. As we continue our work in health and NCDs advocacy, we remain committed to:

Amplifying youth voices in shaping NCDs policies and programs
Strengthening community engagement to drive real solutions for NCD prevention and management
Ensuring that the experiences of people living with NCDs remain central in global health discussions

As Ogweno Stephen and the Stowelink Foundation team continue advocating for better health policies and NCDs interventions in Kenya, we are excited about the future of inclusive, people-centered health advocacy.

Let’s keep making waves and transforming lives—one story at a time.
