The 4th Global NCD Alliance Forum was an incredible experience, offering a unique opportunity to engage, learn, and strategize on the future of NCDs advocacy. From insightful panel discussions to meaningful collaborations, this forum set the stage for the next phase of action in global health.
One of the key highlights was the opportunity to plan and advocate for the upcoming 4th United Nations High-Level Meeting (UN HLM) on NCDs. This meeting will be a pivotal moment in shaping global policies and commitments toward stronger NCDs prevention and management strategies.
Key Takeaways from the Forum
✅ Collaboration is Key – The discussions reinforced the need for cross-sectoral partnerships, bringing together governments, civil society, and the private sector to address NCDs effectively.
✅ Lived Experience Matters – There was a strong emphasis on ensuring that people living with NCDs are at the center of decision-making, policy development, and implementation efforts.
✅ The Role of Data & Policy – Evidence-based advocacy is critical in pushing for stronger NCD interventions. The use of data-driven decision-making will play a crucial role in shaping the next steps in global and national strategies.

What’s Next in NCDs Advocacy?
As we move forward, the focus shifts to advocating for stronger commitments from global leaders at the 4th UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs. Some of the key advocacy priorities include:
🔹 Stronger policies and funding for NCD prevention
🔹 Increased youth and community involvement in decision-making
🔹 Integration of NCDs with other health and development sectors
🔹 Enhanced access to affordable, quality healthcare for people living with NCDs
This forum reinforced my belief that we must keep pushing for action at all levels—from local communities in Kenya to global decision-makers. The momentum is building, and we must keep the conversation going.
