Ogweno Stephen’s Startup – Lifesten Health- Joins Commonwealth Startup Fellowship

I am thrilled to share that I’ve been selected as one of 20 entrepreneurs for the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, representing Lifesten Health on the global stage. As a Kenyan health advocate focused on non‑communicable diseases (NCDs) prevention, I believe this opportunity arrives at the perfect moment to accelerate Lifesten Health’s next phase of growth and impact.

About the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship

The six‑month Commonwealth Startup Fellowship is designed to ignite and elevate high‑potential startups from low‑ and middle‑income Commonwealth countries. The program blends immersive in‑person experiences—starting with a two‑week bootcamp in Accra, Ghana in March 2025—with cutting‑edge online learning. Participants gain essential skills, expert mentorship, and access to a robust global network, culminating in capstone events in London for outstanding ventures.

Why This Matters for Lifesten Health

At Lifesten Health, our mission is to democratize preventive care through AI‑driven transdermal health screenings and behavior‑change incentives. We’ve already partnered with the Rwandan Ministry of Health to screen over 1.6 million people, and our app currently engages thousands in regular wellness challenges. Joining the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship will help us:

  • Scale operations across East Africa and beyond
  • Refine our business model with world‑class mentorship from Imperial College London and the Commonwealth Secretariat
  • Drive job creation locally by training and hiring community health champions

Looking Ahead

I am honored to learn alongside fellow changemakers and apply our shared insights to strengthen Lifesten Health’s impact on NCDs and preventive health. I look forward to representing Kenya at the bootcamp in Accra and, hopefully, at the London capstone later this year.

Thank you for your continued support as we leverage this fellowship to build healthier communities, one scan—and one healthy habit—at a time.
