London, September 9th — At the heart of Imperial College London, Kenyan health advocate and entrepreneur Ogweno Stephen took the stage at the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship Capstone Showcase, delivering a powerful pitch on his groundbreaking company, Lifesten Health.
In a presentation described as impactful, inspiring, and future-focused, Ogweno Stephen highlighted Lifesten Health’s mission to revolutionize preventive healthcare in Africa and beyond. The company’s unique approach combines artificial intelligence, gamification, and digital diagnostics to help individuals understand and improve their health through accessible, tech-driven tools.

The pitch reflected months of preparation and mentorship through the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, where Ogweno was coached by leading entrepreneurship experts Hattie Willis and Andy Ayim. Their training on strategic communication, business storytelling, and investor readiness was evident in the clarity and confidence of Ogweno’s delivery.
“Pitching at Imperial was a defining moment. It wasn’t just about showcasing technology—it was about presenting a vision for a healthier, more equitable future,” said Ogweno Stephen.

After the showcase, Ogweno had the privilege of presenting Lifesten Health’s progress directly to Professor Robin Mason, Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Birmingham and a representative of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Their conversation explored the intersection of digital health, innovation, and youth entrepreneurship across the Commonwealth.
The event also provided an opportunity for Ogweno to network with other brilliant minds from Imperial’s startup ecosystem, including Ryaan Sultan, a medical entrepreneur developing transformative health solutions. These exchanges reinforced a shared commitment to leveraging technology to improve global health outcomes.

For Ogweno Stephen, this experience is another milestone in his journey as a Kenyan health advocate and innovator driving the preventive healthcare agenda across Africa. Through Lifesten Health, he continues to demonstrate how African-led innovation can address the world’s most pressing health challenges with creativity, evidence, and purpose.
“Every pitch is a chance to tell our story—and our story is about empowering people to take control of their health before illness takes control of them,” Ogweno said.
