London, September 12th — Ogweno Stephen, a renowned Kenyan health advocate, researcher, and founder of Lifesten Health, celebrated yet another milestone in his inspiring journey — graduating from the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship Programme. The graduation ceremony took place at Marlborough House, the historic headquarters of the Commonwealth Secretariat, marking the culmination of months of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

For Ogweno Stephen, this achievement carried deep significance. Having previously been a Commonwealth Master’s Scholar, this second recognition from the Commonwealth — as part of the inaugural Startup Fellowship cohort — represents both professional growth and a reaffirmation of his long-standing commitment to transforming health systems through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Reflecting on the experience, Ogweno shared his gratitude for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and engage with other exceptional fellows and the Imperial College London team. “This fellowship has been a remarkable journey of growth — both as an entrepreneur and as a health advocate. Connecting with passionate innovators from across the Commonwealth showed me how collective action and shared learning can drive meaningful impact,” he said.

Throughout the six-month Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, Ogweno worked on scaling Lifesten Health, an AI-powered preventive health platform that provides rapid diagnostics, personalized wellness plans, and gamified health challenges. The fellowship provided access to mentorship, strategic training, and investor networks — equipping participants to strengthen their ventures and expand their social impact across global markets.

As the programme concluded, Ogweno reaffirmed his commitment to using entrepreneurship as a force for good, especially in Africa’s health ecosystem. “Graduating from this fellowship is not the end — it’s the beginning of a stronger network and renewed purpose. Together with my fellow Commonwealth Startup Fellows, we will continue working toward solutions that improve lives, create jobs, and strengthen resilience in our communities,” he added.

Ogweno’s participation in both the Commonwealth Scholarship and the Startup Fellowship demonstrates the powerful link between education, innovation, and leadership in advancing health and sustainable development. His journey continues to inspire young Kenyan entrepreneurs and health advocates who are striving to build a healthier, more equitable future for the continent.
